Bungoma County Governor, Kenneth Lusaka, has called on school principals across the country to prioritize the welfare and safety of students in order to create a conducive learning environment.
Speaking at Kibabii Boys High School, Governor Lusaka referenced the recent fire incident that destroyed a dormitory at Utumishi Girls Academy, urging school administrators to remain vigilant and strengthen safety measures to prevent similar tragedies.

The governor also encouraged students at Kibabii Boys to work hard in their studies, noting that education remains a key pillar of personal growth and national development.
Lusaka further emphasized the need for leaders and alumni who studied at the institution to work together in supporting the school’s growth and development, saying such collaboration would help elevate its academic standards and overall performance.
His remarks were echoed by the school’s principal, Geoffrey Murunga, who underscored the importance of cooperation among leaders, parents, teachers, and students in promoting academic excellence and institutional development.

The leaders emphasized discipline, responsibility, and teamwork as essential values in achieving educational success.
