It was a moment of happiness as thousands of vulnerable farmer received free farm inputs in readiness for this planting season from a renowned businessman Joseph Lendrix Waswa.
Waswa foundation massively distributed certified maize seeds to over 8,000 vulnerable farmers in the four wards forming the expansive Webuye West constituency.
“Agriculture isn’t just about food—it’s the backbone of our survival, the heartbeat of our economy, and the key to a thriving future,” said Waswa.
He added, “Beyond feeding millions, it drives economic stability, sustains livelihoods, and empowers communities. That’s why supporting our farmers isn’t just an investment in agriculture—it’s an investment in our nation’s progress,”.
Waswa, who is eyeing the Webuye West constituency parliamentary seat in 2027, launched the maize seeds distribution exercise, a program designed to equip 8,000 vulnerable farmers with quality maize seeds this planting season.
“With this initiative, we are not just handing out seeds—we are planting hope, fostering food security, and strengthening the foundation of our agricultural sector,” he said.
Waswa continued, “When we empower farmers, we feed families. When we support agriculture, we build a stronger economy. The journey to a food-secure future starts with bold action today!”.
