Bungoma Children’s Hospital (Bch) wishes to address reports regarding an incident in which 24 patients experienced delays in discharge due to challenges related to the Social Health Authority (SHA) system.

The hospital management acknowledges that the situation arose as a result of temporary limitations within the SHA system, which affected the timely processing of patient clearances.
We understand the concern this caused among patients, families and the public.
We are pleased to report that the matter has since been fully resolved following prompt intervention and coordination with the Social Health Authority management team.

All affected patients have been attended to and necessary arrangements have been made to facilitate their discharge without further inconvenience.
We wish to reassure the public that this was an isolated administrative issue and not a reflection of the quality of medical care provided at our facility.
There is no cause for alarm. Bungoma Children’s Hospital remains fully operational and committed to delivering safe, timely and efficient healthcare services to all trusted clients.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of the affected clients during this period and thank the Social Health Authority (SHA) for their swift response in resolving the matter.
