Lusaka Inks MoU With Safaricom To Digitize County Services

GOVERNOR’S PRESS UNIT

Governor Kenneth Lusaka has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Safaricom that will enable Bungoma to fully digitize services through a single citizen access Mobile application called “My County”

Through the digital App which residents will download from Play store and install on their Mobile phones, will ease access to and payment of County services like Parking, Permits, all Licenses, Land rates, water services and other devolved services.

The initiative is being implemented in other Lake region counties to develop sustainable and transformative digital solutions while minimizing on corruption and improving service delivery.

Speaking during the signing of the MOU in Kisii County, Governor Kenneth Lusaka hailed the collaboration between Safaricom and LREB saying it will accelerate digital transformation in the Bloc.

Governors Anyang’ Nyongó [Kisumu], Simba Arati [Kisii], James Orengo [Siaya], Hillary Barchock [Kericho] Deputy Governors, Safaricom Managemet team, County Secretaries, LREB Secretariat and other county officials.
