The final journey for lawyer Gilbert Khayoni began when his body was removed from Nangina Mortuary ahead of his burial tomorrow in Sigalame.
Close relatives and friends gathered at the morgue where brief prayers were held before the procession headed for Budwongi village, Bujwanga sublocation, Agenga Nanguba Ward, Samia Sub County.
Among the leaders in the entourage included Mayenje Member of the County Assembly, Richard Okello, nominated MCA, Irene Eduwa, former Nangina MCA, John Obwogo, former Nambomboto/Nambuku Ward MCA Vincent Olumbe, former Marachi West MCA, John Oganga, former CECM for Education, Hillary Makhulu and advocate Shem Balongo among others.
Busia Governor, H.E Dr Paul Otuoma, local leaders and the deceased professional colleagues are expected to attend the burial of the childrens lawyer.
The late Wakili as he was popularly known died at Kocholia area as he was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.
