The usually quiet boda boda stage near Gikomba in Nairobi turned unusually lively when Elvis Wanyonyi, one of the riders, showed up acting like a man who had just been given a new lease on life. He was in high spirits, carrying shopping bags, treating his colleagues to lunch, and confidently telling anyone who would listen that he was now in a position to even consider taking a second wife after landing a KSh 150,000 betting win.
Elvis, a father of two, left his fellow riders both amused and surprised. For him, this wasn’t just ordinary good luck. He credited his sudden change in fortune to a prediction service known as NairoBets, which he says he recently started using. According to him, life had previously been full of frustration, with years of losses and failed attempts at betting eating into his hopes and savings. That pattern, he claims, changed completely once he began following tips from the platform.
