Healthcare workers at Bungoma County Referral Hospital have undergone specialized training on Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) prevention and emergency preparedness amid rising regional outbreak concerns.
The sensitization program focused on early case detection, infection prevention, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), and patient management protocols to strengthen the hospitalโs response capacity.
Speaking during the training, the hospitalโs Infection Prevention and Control In-Charge, Dr. Francis Kamau, said preparedness and a well-trained response team are critical in preventing the spread of Ebola within health facilities and communities.
