The Kanduyi constituency legislature John Makali has officially handed over a 51 seater bus to St. Thaddeus Ndengelwa secondary school in Bungoma County. According to the constituency boss his office through the NG-CDF kitty is majorly keen on boosting the education sector among the society by revealing the brand new bus costs 8.1 Million terming it as the biggest boost to the school and the society.
“You can count on me as your number one supporter on education matters in this constituency”, Makali stated.
Speaking during the launch the Member of Parliament emphasized that parents and teachers should be steadfast and more concerned with their students’ studies.

He also urged the government through the ministry of education to streamline the intake of grade 10 students into senior schools stating that many parents are finding it hard to secure admission for their children to schools of their choice as per the performance under Competence based education (CBE).
“I urge school heads not to send away students bacause of fee, the government has already released capitation” said the MP.
The constituency boss insisted that the teachers and parents instead must come out with an alternative way to keep students in class to avoid them wasting time on the road leading to dropping out of school, for them to concentrate on their studies.

The legislature also revealed that Bursary forms will be distributed to learners targeting those from needy families noting the vetting to be done in a free and fair process across all eight wards in the constituency, fifty four million shillings (54,000,000) will be shared equally to students from needy families.
