Glam Hotel Opens New Rooftop Restaurant and Bar in Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya โ€“ Glam Hotel has opened a new rooftop restaurant and bar in Westlands, adding to the cityโ€™s growing list of luxury dining and entertainment spots.

The 10th-floor venue, located along General Mathenge Road, was launched on Friday night in a lively event attended by business leaders, influencers, and hospitality enthusiasts. The evening featured live music, DJ sets, and performances by drummers and dancers.

โ€œThis rooftop is more than a venue โ€” itโ€™s an experience,โ€ said Ashish Sharma, CEO of Thrive Hospitality, the group that owns Glam Hotel.

โ€œWe wanted a space that reflects Nairobiโ€™s character โ€” vibrant, diverse, and full of life.โ€

Guests enjoyed a range of continental dishes and cocktails as the cityโ€™s skyline provided a striking backdrop.

Organizers said the rooftop will host up to 200 guests for sundowners, private events, and casual dining.

Sanjay Shah, the hotelโ€™s directors said the aim was to โ€œcreate a space that blends good food with Nairobiโ€™s social energy โ€” where every evening feels like a celebration.โ€

The night ended with a toast overlooking the city, marking what the hotel hopes will become one of Westlandsโ€™ most popular rooftop spots.

Glam Hotel is a boutique establishment located along General Mathenge Road in Westlands. It offers modern rooms, personalized service, and curated guest experiences.

The new rooftop restaurant and bar builds on that concept, offering a mix of continental cuisine, cocktails, and panoramic views of Nairobi.
