Busia Drunkard Group Leader Defends Its 6,440 Members Over Theft Allegations

The newly registered Full Glass Group ( FGG) has defended its 6440 members against unfounded allegations that they are perpetrators of thefts of domestic animals and property, which has become a common phenomenon in the area.

Addressing the press in Amagoro⁶, the group’s founder member, “Bishop” Isaac Ngeiywa Kimungui, said his members are peaceful oriented people who should be delinked from skyrocketing cases of thefts of cows, goats, sheep, chicken, and pigs.

” As FGG, we are perturbed by constant attacks on his members by security agencies and administrators that they are the main contributors of insecurity involving thefts of property and domestic animals,” he said.

Kimungui said the main objective of the group is to help the government to nab thugs and advise its members to co-exist peacefully in society.

” Drunkards are always branded as people who engage in thuggery activities, which is a pack of blatant lies and which should be put on the peripheral background,” he said.

The self-proclaimed Bishop said he has full instructions to his members to embark on farming activities until 12 noon when they start drinking to build the country’s economy.

” We want the national governments to legalise illegal drinks like country neighbouring Uganda so as to boost the country’s economy, which is grappling with the world’s economic challenges,” he said.

Kimungui appealed to the government to give his members time from 12 noon to 4 pm to take traditional brew every day from Mondays to Fridays to give them
time to without being harassed.

He critized security agencies against mounting constant raids on chang’aa and busaa drinkers levelling them as main group that is linked to sporadic thefts reported in Anagoro and other regions.

” A drunkard is a thief as branded by sceptics? Kimungui wondered, noting that they have no time to engage in thuggery activities since they always resort to bed after taking the Muthuho staff.

” The main objective of FGG is to live in peace and help the government fight rising thuggery cases thus, our need for recognition as drunkards and not thieves, that is our humble request, Kimungui concluded.
