Governor Kenneth Lusaka has lauded President William Ruto for successfully securing major infrastructure investment agreements with China, aimed at boosting Kenyaโs regional connectivity and economic growth.
Speaking during an interdenominational prayer and thanksgiving service held in Malava, Kakamega County, Lusaka, who represented President Ruto at the event, lauded the signing of strategic deals that will see the dualling of the RironiโMau SummitโMalaba highway and the expansion of the NaivashaโMalaba Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

โPresident William Ruto is on the right development trajectory,โ Lusaka said. โThe strategic NaivashaโKisumuโMalaba SGR expansion and the RironiโMau SummitโMalaba highway dual carriageway projects will enhance the countryโs regional connectivity and transportation.โ
He noted that the expansion of the SGR and the highway will significantly boost economic activities in Bungoma and the broader Western Kenya region.

โBungoma strategically borders Uganda and several other counties. The SGR and Malaba highway dual road will spur regional trade and transportation efficiency,โ Lusaka added.
The governor urged Western Kenya residents to rally behind President Rutoโs transformative agenda, emphasizing the importance of supporting the government for meaningful development.
โYou only go to look for cow dung in a home that rears cattle,โ Lusaka remarked, stressing that tangible progress can only be achieved through partnership with those in leadership.

The event, organized by President Rutoโs personal aide Farouk Kibet, brought together over 60 churches and was attended by several Members of Parliament and local leaders. It also raised KSh 9.5 million to support the participating churches, underscoring the strong collaboration between political and religious leadership in the region.
