Trans Nzoia, Bungoma Residents Mourn The Death Of Former MCA: His PHOTOS In The Story

A former Member of the County Assembly of Trans Nzoia (MCA) has passed on.
His death has thrown residents of Trans Nzoia and Bungoma Counties into mourning following the sudden demise of the former Civic leader.

Eric Musumba, a former Sikhendu ward MCA passed on in Eldoret while undergoing medication after his vehicle was involved in an accident.
“It is with profound sorrow and unbearable pain that we mourn the untimely demise of Hon. Erick Wanyonyi Musumba, former MCA of Sikhendu Ward, Trans Nzoia County (2017–2022),” Wrote a social media enthusiast.
Hon. Musumba tragically lost his life in a road accident on Monday last week at Matunda Bridge along the Kitale–Webuye Road.
After the accident, he was admitted to Cherang’anyi Nursing Home, where he was scheduled for surgery today.

Sadly, he never woke up from the operation. He was later referred to Eldoret Lifecare Hospital for specialized treatment, but he passed on before reaching the Intensive Care Unit.
His sudden departure has left a gaping wound in our hearts and in the entire Sikhendu community.
Hon. Musumba was not just a leader, but a pillar in the Sikhendu community—a man who was heart beat for his people.
He was a true son of the soil, he dedicated his life to uplifting the less fortunate, tirelessly working to ensure no one slept hungry, no child missed school, and no family went without hope.
His contributions were immense, touching every corner of social and economic life.
Socially, Hon. Musumba was known for his warmth, humility, and unmatched ability to connect with everyone regardless of age, gender, or status.
He was a man of the people, easily approachable and deeply rooted in his culture of ubuntu. Whether it was in the village gatherings, church functions, or casual market conversations, Musumba was always present—listening, sharing, laughing, and offering solutions.
Economically, he pioneered several development initiatives that improved livelihoods across Sikhendu.
He championed youth empowerment, women entrepreneurship, and small-scale farming through practical support and policy advocacy. He believed in dignity through self-reliance and worked hard to create opportunities for everyone.
Hon. Musumba was also the founder of the Musumba Foundation, a beacon of hope for many. Through it, he built houses for the needy, funded healthcare for the sick, and more notably, educated orphans and
