Today marked the beginning of a new chapter in football development in Trans Nzoia County, as referee training officially kicked off at Solidarity Boys School in Kitale, organized under the leadership of the FKF Trans Nzoia Branch.
The event attracted an impressive 80 referees from across the county, making it one of the largest turnouts for such a program. This shows the growing passion for football and the desire to uplift the standards of officiating at all levels.
Referees are the unsung heroes of the game—ensuring fairness, upholding discipline, and keeping the spirit of football alive. This training is a critical step toward professionalizing the game from the grassroots, and giving referees the tools and knowledge they need to grow.
But today was about more than just football rules.
Our FKF Trans Nzoia Branch Chairman, Isaac Munene, demonstrated true leadership by showing that football is for everyone—regardless of tribe, background, or status. His approach is breaking down barriers of tribalism and bringing people together through the power of sport. Under his leadership, football in Trans Nzoia is becoming a platform of unity, growth, and opportunity for all.
As the whistles are sharpened and the knowledge deepens, we look forward to a future of fair, well-officiated, and united football in our county.
