“No Excuses, No stories, Deliver or Step aside” – Lusaka to Warns New Chief Officers.

GOVERNOR’S PRESS UNIT

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on the newly sworn in CECM and three chief officers and to work diligently for the residents or risk losing their jobs.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony at the county headquarters, Lusaka emphasized the need for accounting officers to get down to work with immediate effect and serve the public.

The officers who were sworn in included Eng. Agnes Naliaka Wachie CECM for Gender, culture, youths and sports, Chief Officers Beatrice Nakhumicha (Cooperatives) Nicholas J.T Kiboi (Education)Dr. Magrina Mayama (Health).

The Governor thanked the Speaker Hon. Emmanuel Situma and the Members of the county Assembly for discharging their constitutional mandate by subjecting the officers to a vigorous vetting process in an efficient and expeditous manner.

Lusaka was cognizant to the fact that nominees Reuben wambwa ( Trade) , Evelyn Teresa Wekesa (Public Service and Administration Management) and Robert Simiyu ( Agriculture) who were successful vetted by the county Assembly were not sworn in what he termed as an unavoidable circumstances but will do so in due course.

The MCAs cautioned the chief officers that the assembly will be keen on its oversight role warning that MCAs will not compromise on any wrong doing.

Deputy governor Janepher Mbatiany and a host of members of the county assembly and senior county government officials were in attendance.
