Thika queens coach blames referee over draw with Nakuru City queens

Thika queens head coach Fred Majani has blamed the center referee over the draw against Nakuru city Queens at ASK grounds.

Majani said as Thika were sure for the three points to clinch position three in the Kenya women Priemier league(KWPL).

“We took a lead on the 14th minute through Chris Katch,” Majani said.

“However I was surprised when the center referee awarding a penalty to our opponents to equalize,” he cited.

He said the worst part of it was giving a red card to Juliet Andibo.

Majani said the unexpected red card got his charge off guard.

On the other other hand Nakuru city Queens head coach James Angila said the draw against Thika came in expected.

” I was for the three points to seal position three in the KWPL but I thank God for the outcome,” Angila said.

On the other round up of games Diana Watchers, Emily Andayi and Adrien Birungi’ goals helped Gaspo to sustain their position in the KWPL.

Gaspo are currently on the lead with 34 points followed closely with Vihiga queens with same points but goal difference creating positions.

Ulinzi starlets will be positioned third on the log with 29 points after winning against Kisumu Starlets 2-1 on Saturday at Moi stadium in Kisumu.

Nakuru city Queens will be  forth on the log with 28 points after the 1-1  draw with  Thika  at ask grounds and Thika will be closing the top five teams in KWPL with 27 points.

Wadadia ladies are one point behind Thika queens after securing a draw with Bunyore Starlets at Mumboha grounds.
