“Your time is up, just go home in peace. I cannot serve as a governor and then go for a junior position of the MP. You should vie for presidency if you still want to remain relevant in politics,”

Former Teso South MP Mary Emase has told outgoing Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong to retire from politics honorably.
The Teso South Irony lady says if Ojaamong will make the mistake of vying against her in the parliamentary race, she will teach him a lifetime political lesson.
“Your time is up, just go home in peace. I cannot serve as a governor and then go for a junior position of the MP. You should vie for presidency if you still want to remain relevant in politics,” said Emase.
Emase was Teso South MP between 2013 – 2017 on the United Republican Party (URP) and she believes Ojaamong played a pivotal role towards her losing the much-coveted seat.
“Raila alishindwa kututongoza ila Ruto alitutongoza tukatongozeka. Tumeshapata bwana mwingine wa kisiasa na mara hii Raila hatapa wabunge wowote katika kaunti ya Busia,”
MP Geoffrey Omuse is the incumbent area MP. Ojaamong will also be vying for the Teso South MP seat.
She said the Teso South parliamentary race would be between her (Emase) and the governor saying the area MP already booked his team to political oblivion after he failed to perform as the voter’s expectations.
“Just ask Ojaamong if he initiated any successful development project in the county, he has none and that is not the leadership we want,"
The no nonsense politician also said anyone vying on ODM ticket will be vanquished in UDA party in Busia. “Raila alishindwa kututongoza ila Ruto alitutongoza tukatongozeka. Tumeshapata bwana mwingine wa kisiasa na mara hii Raila hatapa wabunge wowote katika kaunti ya Busia,”
She said all ODM leaders are non-performers and come August 8, this year, they will be voted out.
“Just ask Ojaamong if he initiated any successful development project in the county, he has none and that is not the leadership we want,” she said.
