ICM: Nurturing staff professionalism in commercial and business development

Mr Mirindo however says that as part of its corporate social responsibility, ICM supports sponsors and promotes a number of projects in Africa, in the UK and overseas, as part of its commitment to promote social cohesion and development.

“We adhere to our Corporate and Social Responsibility Policy. At ICM, we believe that by making education as accessible to as many learners as possible, this strengthens the social and economic well-being of individuals as well as the communities in which they live. To this end, each initiative that we support provides services that are central to the education, welfare and personal development of young people,” said Mr Mirindo.

 According to him, career awareness, sports and talent mentorship and appraisal, academic linkages and community empowerment clinics are part of the CSR activities of ICM in Kenya.

Mr Kanisio however called upon all TVET approved collages to be part of the ICM examination body because it bestows upon its students an international recognition and specialization in technical skills such as hospitality, journalism, sports and management.

 “ICM yields skilled entrepreneurs and makes the world a global village and gives a fertile ground for global networking and access to international institutions and that’s why the African student should be exposed to ICM examinations”, said Mr Kanisio.

Since its inception in Kenya in the last 28years, ICM has received employer recognition for production of highly skilled and competent personnel. It’s a hub of professionalism. 

ICM has staffs located in the UK and internationally. The ICM Business Development and Delivery Coordinators (BDDCs) are local, face-to-face, points of contacts availed to provide locals with guidance on ICM policies and procedures.

The ICM BDDCs also offers customers services to learners, Centres, Governments agencies, ministries and universities where they are also involved in the educational sector and governmental agencies. They are always delighted to attend graduations, exhibitions, open days and assist with conducting ICM examinations.
