Shinyalu Parliamentary Aspirant Adrian Meja has said that Amani National Congress (ANC) party is now the most popular party in the constituency with majority of its supporters warming up for Musalia Mudavadi Presidency come 2022.
According to Meja, majority of Shinyalu constituents are now life members of ANC party, a move that puts him at a vantage position to succeed Kizito Mugalia as the next area Member of Parliament.
Mr. Meja says that they are still recruiting more members into the party ahead of the next polls, adding that they also want to ensure after the 2022 polls, the MP and majority of MCAs from the constituency are elected on the Mudavadi led party.
Meja who made the revelations during a fundraiser in aid of funeral preparations of Mzee Mushukhani in Shihimba village, Muranda ward, he added that the ANC was now attracting more aspiring candidates for different seats in the next polls as it is now the party of choice.
“It’s either you are in ANC party of not. I want to assure our people that this is the party to beat come 2022. Even in the county, we got six MPs in the last polls but we are now prepared to have at least 10 MPs elected on ANC party. Here in Shinyalu am confident you will elect me as your next MP,” said Meja.
Meja is the one who brought ANC party to Shinyalu after it was formed.
According to Meja, Mudavadi is best suited to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta so that he can work around the clock in reviving the ailing economy.
““We have had all senior government positions including the vice president position but what we have never had is the presidency and that is what we are looking for. Mudavadi is the leader who should succeed Uhuru as his leadership qualities have been proven before,” said Meja.
Meja said the region was united under Mudavadi and needs that he needs the support of the entire community in order to ascend to presidency in 2022.
