Women strip naked at Bungoma County Assembly and warn MCAs against disrespecting Wangamati

Bungoma

By Tony Wafula

Business was brought to a standstill at Bungoma County Assembly entry gate when goons (women) stripped themselves half-naked blaming the ward reps of being a hindrance to the county government.

They accused the ward reps of scuttling Governor Wangamati’s development agenda to the county by serving the interests of his political detractors.

They set ablaze tyres at the gate premises and engaged the assembly staff in shouting matches and chest thumping thus attracting a big crowd.

Governor Wycliffe Wangamati

Addressing the press outside the assembly premises, Rose Matere-who was the ringleader, blamed Bungoma MCAs for insisting to impeach Governor Wangamati saying that it will bring developments down.

‘’The MCA’s of this regime are very funny instead of concentrating on what they were voted in to do in the County assembly they want to impeach Executives plus the Governor,’’ she said.

She added: ‘’some of this MCA’s have started making noise after the jerrican scandal, a narrative that was started selfish politicians thirsting for his seat,”

She pointed out that some MCA’s took huge loans and married many wives, saying when it has come tie to repay them; they want to extort money from the governor through impeachments in order to pay for the loans.

‘’Who told you to marry many wives now you have failed to cater for them do you want Wangamati to cater for you?’’ she questioned the MCA’s.

Her sentiments were echoed by Pamela Mutoro who said that this time the Governor should concentrate much on Covid-19 fight it’s not the time to fight with hungry MCA’s who does not know what brought them in the assembly.

‘’Let me assure you nowhere Wangamati will go he is still be our Governor or if not that way I propose the County leadership to be dissolved so that we choose leaders,’’ she said.
