The Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu has re-affirmed that Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula as the bonafide Party Leader of Ford Kenya.
This was during a sitting by the Political Parties and Dispute Tribunal (PPDT) that sat to hear the leadership row in the Ford Kenya party.
Following the new development, Tongaren MP Dr. Eseli Simiyu and Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi will face disciplinary action from the party.
“The Wafula Wamunyinyi led faction will be disciplined by the party for bringing havoc in Ford Kenya,” said Ben Milimu, the party’s lawyer.
This is after a siting by three PPDT members namely Dr Adelaide Mbithi, Desma Nungo and Milly Lwanga terminated the dispute filed by Ford- Kenya lawyer Eunice Lumalla’s after the latter agreed to solve the matter internally.
However, the big loser is Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati who MCAs have vowed to impeach for fighting the party, Mr. Wetang’ula and running a government riddled with corruption scandals.
With the new leadership at the Bungoma County Assembly, Wangamati’s impeachment will likely sail through after his lieutenants were all removed from plum assembly positions.
Ford Kenya acting SG Dr Chris Wamalwa also said that Wamunyi,Wangamati and Dr. Simiyu will be disciplined by the party.
Mr. Wetang’ula said the three will be face criminal charges for forging NEC members signature and official party rubberstamp.
