Misanga Residents In Bukembe East Demand Transparency in Poles Distribution

Misanga residents are raising serious concerns over the lack of transparency in the distribution and installation of electricity poles in the area.
Residents are demanding equal and fair distribution of the poles across the affected areas, warning that the contractor must be held accountable if the exercise is not carried out transparently.
According to the residents, the contractor appears to be attempting to reduce the number of poles being installed, despite reports that 200 poles are supposed to be delivered and installed on site.
Residents now want the contractor to clearly account for every pole allocated to the project.
They are warning that if the contractor cannot provide a satisfactory explanation or ensure equitable distribution, they may have no option but to stop the contractor from proceeding with the work.
This is a matter that requires urgent intervention. The office of Kanduyi MP John Makali should step in, establish the facts, and ensure that the project is implemented transparently and that residents receive what was allocated to them.
Public projects must benefit the people they are intended to serve. There should be no room for corruption, manipulation or unequal distribution of public resources.
