Boda bodas in Bungoma county have been called upon to fight against teenage pregnancy within the region to ensure development of a girl child in terms of their education and wellbeing.
Speaking at the meeting with bodaboda at Kanduyi, Sween Khayanga advisor of public relations in Bungoma county lamented that their support in providing security amongst their families,neighbours and children is really important in hand with the upbringing of a girl child.
“They are our sisters,daughters and neighbours, we are supposed to be at the frontline to fight for them to reduce teenage pregnancies and see them blossom in their academic field” said Sween Khayanga.

She also added that boda boda should participate to reduce insecurities amongst themselves and the public especially girl child so as to fight against teenage pregnancies in Bungoma county.
On the other hand, boda bodas lead by their county chair Alex Kisuya are ready to rewrite the narrative that boda bodas are amongst the major causes of chaos and insecurities by cooperating with the government through providing security within their premises,by so doing they will improve the country both economically and socially as whole.
“We are ready to work with the leaders who want to support us and change our societies;together we will achieve a lot”said Kisuya.
