Eugen Wamalwa, leader of the Democratic Action Party-Kenya, has condemned the government’s priorities, asserting that the underprivileged are overlooked and endure significant hardship while the ‘deep state’ enjoys privileges.
Addressing the press during their rally to donate uniforms to students at Mupeli DEB and Muslim primary schools, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa said that leaders take billions of money to build several government premises, the state house, changing one car to another instead of facilitating construction of public amenities like schools and hospitals.
‘Public amenities should be at the top runk to receive capitation to allow smooth running, unfortunately vice versa is the case. You will find these leaders changing cars, money taken to construct the state house while school heads are suffering due to delay or lack of capitation’ he stated.
He further stated that he’s not expecting another GenZ revolution, noting that he’s seeing a storm forming and all of us can feel it coming.
‘Am arguing our MPs to make a better decision on the finance bill 2025 which is coming,we don’t want to see Gen Z dying because of too much tax in the coming finance bill again, lets care about the needs of the people because a stitch in time saves nine,’ he said.
He also stated that capitation in schools has been delayed owing to leaders prioritizing their demands leaving netizens on the ground to suffer which he deeply condemns.
‘During these difficult economic times, supporting parents from poor backgrounds and giving back to the community as a whole is key, that’s why we are here today to support our people ‘he added.
The party leader further condemned the fact that Kenyan soldiers aren’t given lunch, they are told to pay as you eat while they dont ask for payment when they go to fight for Kenyans.
