Governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged leaders from the Mulembe nation to strengthen their unity in a bid to enhance their political bargaining power on the national stage.
Speaking during a Thanksgiving service at King Jesus Faith Ministries in Bungoma town, Lusaka emphasized the importance of Western Kenya leaders coming together to chart a common political course.
“We made a deliberate step as the Western Kenya governors to unite all leaders in the region under one voice. This is the only opportunity to walk the talk,” Lusaka stated.
The governor affirmed that Western Kenya will be a significant player in the country’s 2027 general elections, citing the region’s strategic voting numbers.
Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma, who also addressed the congregation, echoed Lusaka’s sentiments, stressing the need for visionary leadership to steer the Mulembe nation toward greater political and economic influence.
The event was also attended by Vihiga Deputy Governor Wilberforce Kitiezo, Bungoma Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany, Kanduyi MP John Makali, and other key leaders.
