The state department for industry will put up a ginnery in Ugenya Constituency, Siaya County to revive and support cotton farming in the area.
This was said by the PS for Industry Dr Juma Mukhwana when he distributed 4 tones of cotton seed worth Sh14 million to 3000 farmers in Siaya County.
“Cotton farming revival is a must to spur development in the region, this is how the country will grow economically,” he said.
He was accompanied by the area Govenor HE James Orengo and Ugenya MP Hon David Ochieng.
