A dormitory at Musingu Boys has been razed down by fire just two days after Form Four students reported to the school in preparation for the Kenya certificate of secondary Education (KCSE) slated for early next year.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. By the time of going to the press, there was no brigade on site.
Students could be seen trying to put off the fire using buckets with no vain. So far, valuation has not been done to determine the value of property that has been reduced to ashes.
This is the third time a dormitory is being razed down by fire in less than a year at Musingu.
In November last year, property of unknown value was reduced to ashes after fire razed down a dormitory housing the property of Form One and Form Three students who were at home for the Christmas festivities.
Nothing could be salvaged from the ill-fated dormitory during yesterday’s morning incident.
The incident happened barely two months after another dormitory went up in flames at the school rendering over 120 students homeless.
