{"id":944,"date":"2020-07-06T14:43:36","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T14:43:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/countysplash.co.ke\/?p=944"},"modified":"2020-07-06T14:43:36","modified_gmt":"2020-07-06T14:43:36","slug":"women-strip-naked-at-bungoma-county-assembly-and-warn-mcas-against-disrespecting-wangamati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/?p=944","title":{"rendered":"Women strip naked at Bungoma County Assembly and warn MCAs against disrespecting Wangamati"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bungoma <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> By Tony Wafula <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Business was brought to a\nstandstill at Bungoma County Assembly entry gate when goons (women) stripped\nthemselves half-naked blaming the ward reps of being a hindrance to the county\ngovernment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They accused the ward reps of\nscuttling Governor Wangamati\u2019s development agenda to the county by serving the\ninterests of his political detractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They set ablaze tyres at the gate\npremises and engaged the assembly staff in shouting matches and chest thumping\nthus attracting a big crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"865\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ww.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-655\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ww.jpg 865w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ww-270x300.jpg 270w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ww-768x852.jpg 768w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/ww-696x772.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 865px) 100vw, 865px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>Governor Wycliffe Wangamati<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the press outside the\nassembly premises, Rose Matere-who was the ringleader, blamed Bungoma MCAs for\ninsisting to impeach Governor Wangamati saying that it will bring developments\ndown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019The MCA\u2019s of this regime are very\nfunny instead of concentrating on what they were voted in to do in the County\nassembly they want to impeach Executives plus the Governor,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She added: \u2018\u2019some of this MCA\u2019s\nhave started making noise after the jerrican scandal, a narrative that was\nstarted selfish politicians thirsting for his seat,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She pointed out that some MCA\u2019s\ntook huge loans and married many wives, saying when it has come tie to repay them;\nthey want to extort money from the governor through impeachments in order to\npay for the loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u2018\u2019Who told you to marry many wives now you\nhave failed to cater for them do you want Wangamati to cater for you?\u2019\u2019 she\nquestioned the MCA\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her sentiments were echoed by\nPamela Mutoro who said that this time the Governor should concentrate much on\nCovid-19 fight it\u2019s not the time to fight with hungry MCA\u2019s who does not know\nwhat brought them in the assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019Let me assure you nowhere\nWangamati will go he is still be our Governor or if not that way I propose the\nCounty leadership to be dissolved so that we choose leaders,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ends <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bungoma By Tony Wafula Business was brought to a standstill at Bungoma County Assembly entry gate when goons (women) stripped themselves half-naked blaming the ward reps of being a hindrance to the county government.
