On September 7, 2025, the 11th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit was held at the University of Nairobi, Kenya Science Campus.. The event was co-hosted by the international peace NGO Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL)and the Inter-Religious Council of Kenya (IRCK).<\/div>\n

Held under the theme \u2018Uniting for Peace and Fulfilling Humanity\u2019s Duty Together\u2019, the event served as a platform to reflect on HWPL\u2019s peace initiatives over the past 11 years and to present new strategies for advancing sustainable peace in Kenya.<\/div>\n

The ceremony brought together approximately 550 participants, including legal professionals, religious leaders, journalists, youth representatives, and civil society leaders\u2014all demonstrating their strong commitment to peacebuilding efforts.<\/div>\n

Ryan Lee, Chief Director of HWPL Kenya branch, delivered a keynote address presenting the vision of establishing a \u201cHWPL Peace Culture Council\u201d, a platform where civil society and educational institutions can collaborate to foster a culture of peace. He also shared the outcomes of HWPL\u2019s key initiatives in Kenya during 2025 and outlined plans for the future.<\/div>\n

As a co-host of the event, IRCK officially signed a resolution in support of Articles 8, 9, and 10 of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War)\u2014an international legal framework proposed by HWPL to promote global peace and end conflict.<\/div>\n

IRCK President Linus Nthigai remarked, \u201cWe believe the DPCW is essential for fostering interfaith harmony and global peace. We hope today’s resolution will mark the beginning of a practical and lasting partnership to advance peace in Kenya.\u201d<\/div>\n

In a show of governmental support, Aurelia Rono, Principal Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, delivered a message on behalf of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, officially endorsing the launch of HWPL\u2019s \u201cWE ARE ONE MOVEMENT\u201d youth peace project. She stated, \u201cThis project aims to inspire communities, beginning with Nairobi City County, to become true models of peace and coexistence, leaving behind a lasting legacy for generations to come. We hope HWPL will continue to work alongside communities across Nairobi and Kenya to realize sustainable peace on the ground.\u201d<\/div>\n

Signing Ceremony for the Adoption of the DPCW Resolution by IRCK (Interreligious Council: Government Agency)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

The event concluded with a peace performance and a symbolic signing ceremonyin support of the DPCW. The declaration, composed of 10 articles and 38 clauses, outlines principles for dispute prevention and resolution, the cessation of war, and the institutionalization of peace through education, law, and civil cooperation.<\/div>\n

An HWPL spokesperson added, \u201cToday marks a significant step forward in Kenya\u2019s journey toward institutionalizing peace. We will continue working hand-in-hand with governments, religious communities, and civil society to create a world where peace is a lasting reality.\u201d<\/div>\n
