Kenyan\nPolitical Parties came up with Pre Election Coalitions, which by law, will\nsurvive until the end of tenure of ruling government until 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
NASA,\nwhich comprises of ANC, Wiper, ODM and Ford Kenya, formed the Opposition in\nKenya after the 2017 General Elections. This, as a result, created offices for Senator James Orengo as The Minority Leader\nin the Senate<\/em> while John Mbadi<\/em>\nassumed the office of The Minority Leader<\/em>\nin the National Assembly on NASA coalition parties strengths. Jubilee Party\nformed another coalition after other parties like URP and TNA among others folded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nNASA coalition partners currently head Key Parliamentary Committees in both\nhouses; the Public Accounts Committee and the Public Investment Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\nwill therefore be deceitful, for any Political Party to purport to be forming a\nPost-Election Agreement with Jubilee, when NASA Coalition is still alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In\nany case, any Party from the Opposition, desirous to joining government MUST\nfirst write to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties, with a\nthreshold majority of three,(3) parties, declaring withdrawal from NASA\nCoalition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Thus,\nit is until then therefore, when the ORPP would give a notification in writing\nallowing individual Parties to fold from NASA and allow them to deposit fresh\ncoalition agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unless\nthis is done, it amounts to political conmanship, greed, dishonesty and\ndisrespect to both Kenyans and to the rule of law by purporting to have made or\nintended to make a Post 2017 poll agreement with Jubilee, when the latter\ncoalitions are still in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As\nthings stands, ANC, Wiper, Ford Kenya and ODM forms the Official Opposition in\nKenya!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kenyan\nscenarios makes me think that government of National Unity do not promote\ndemocracy but defeats it, because our political parties have no ideologies, but\nmere vehicles for securing power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Good\npolitics improves systems and institutions, Bad politics always try to\nconcentrate power in individuals and criticize other individuals for\nproblems.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hon.\nDavid Ndakwa is the MCA for Kabras West Ward and Leader of Minority at the Kakamega\nCounty Assembly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \n END<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Kakamega By Hon.
