drug abuse and stealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019People should not see street boys as a stupid\nand bad people you never know what forced him to join street life, so we should\njoin hands us friends and Christians and help this boys,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The clergy said that he houses thirty boys at\nSikata children\u2019s home where they go to school and also takes care of over 320\nboys on the street and provide them with breakfast, lunch and supper on a daily\nbasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"807\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mukolwe-photo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mukolwe-photo.jpg 807w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mukolwe-photo-300x181.jpg 300w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mukolwe-photo-768x463.jpg 768w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mukolwe-photo-696x420.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 807px) 100vw, 807px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said since the President announced the curfew\nwhich was aimed at containing the spread of corona virus many street boys have\nbeen brutally harmed by police officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019I plead to our good County Commissioner Dr.\nAbdi Hassan talk to our police officers not to harass street boys they don\u2019t\n&nbsp;have where they can seek refuge it\u2019s only on the street,\u2019\u2019 he pleaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He called on leaders, Chamber of Commerce\nBungoma and County government to consider Sikata Children\u2019s home and provide\nthem with food stuffs and face masks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018\u2019During this global pandemic we need much\nassistance in food donations and even clothing,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mukolwe said at Sikata Children\u2019s home they are\nstrictly following the government\u2019s directives to combat the spread of the\nVirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ends. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bungoma By Tony Wafula Pastor Joseph Mukolwe of Restoration of Hope Ministries who is known for his dedication in interacting with street children (Chokoraa) has never shied in offering and helping hand or otherwise forgotten street children despite the brutality of police officers during curfew time.
