Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya honoured secondary and primary school teams from the county for their outstanding achievements in recent national championships.<\/div>\n

At a ceremony held at Kitale Club Hall, Natembeya congratulated the teams and praised their efforts in proudly raising the flag of Trans Nzoia County.<\/div>\n

He highlighted that their success reflects the county\u2019s growing commitment to investing in education and sports.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cTheir victories are not just wins for their schools but triumphs for the entire county. We must continue nurturing this talent and provide our young athletes with the support they need to excel,\u201d Natembeya said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The event celebrated St. Joseph\u2019s Boys Kitale, popularly known as JOBO, for their historic win of the national secondary schools soccer title under the stewardship of Chief Principal Cosmas Nabungolo.<\/div>\n

M.V.P KSSSA 2025 DELVIN VURACHI WITH GOVERNOR GEORGE NATEMBEYA DURING THE LUNCHEON<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
JOBO\u2019s goalkeeper, Delvin Vurachi, earned the best player award for his performance in the tournament held in Kakamega County, where the Brown Saints defeated Musingu\u2019s Scorpions 1-0 to claim the crown.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Natembeya also honoured the tournament\u2019s best striker, Instin Simiyu, whose outstanding skills played a key role in securing the championship.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
To support their preparations for representing Kenya at the upcoming Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games, each player from the honoured teams received Sh4,000 as pocket money.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
St. Joseph\u2019s Boys were also recognized for winning the table tennis title and for their outstanding performances in lacrosse and lawn tennis. They also secured third place in the boys\u2019 3×3 basketball competition.<\/div>\n

Other Trans Nzoia schools were honoured for their strong performances across various sporting disciplines.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
St. Joseph\u2019s Girls (JOGA) Kitale was recognized for finishing third in the girls\u2019 5×5 basketball competition.<\/div>\n

The hockey teams received accolades for their impressive results, with St. Joseph\u2019s Girls earning second place in the girls\u2019 category and St. Anthony\u2019s Boys Kitale also securing second place in the boys\u2019 category.<\/div>\n

In addition, St. Joseph\u2019s Girls (JOGA) were honoured for their second-place finishes in both the girls\u2019 handball and netball competitions.<\/div>\n
