The announcement was made during a high-profile consultative meeting held at Wanangali Sports Club in Kanduyi, Bungoma, bringing together leaders and opinion shapers from across the county. The forum saw leaders unite across party lines in support of Tim Wanyonyi\u2019s bid, emphasizing a need to prioritize leadership capacity over party affiliations in the next elections.<\/p>\n

Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama, speaking on behalf of the delegation, stated that this time around, Bungoma residents will vote based on performance, vision, and integrity, not political party loyalty.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe, as leaders from Bungoma, have agreed to rally behind Hon. Tim Wanyonyi because of his proven development record. Come 2027, we want a governor who can work and deliver, not just one who represents a party. Bungoma deserves better,\u201d said Wanyama.<\/p>\n
Echoing similar sentiments, the Majority Leader in the Bungoma County Assembly, Joseph Nyongesa, praised Tim Wanyonyi for his leadership style, which he described as inclusive, people-driven, and non-partisan.<\/p>\n

Wanyonyi\u2019s entry into the Bungoma gubernatorial race now sets the stage for what is expected to be a high-stakes battle. He is likely to face strong opponents, including Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, former Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, and businessman Zacharia Barasa, among others.<\/p>\n
