Kidney failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;He\nhails from Luuya-Bwake ward, Kabuchai Constituency in Bungoma County&nbsp;and is\nnow appealing for help to enable him undergo kidney transplant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr Wachiye was diagnosed to have renal\nfailure in November 2016 at Mediheal hospital \u2013 Eldoret and undergoes dialysis at\nthe same health facility twice a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" <\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the press at Bungoma west\nhospital, Martin Wanjala, the brother to Wanjala said that he needs to undergo\nkidney transplant but it is not possible to be airlifted to India to undergo\nkidney transplant due to the Covid19 pandemic as in Kenya its expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said Mediheal hospital had planned\nto do a kidney transplant for him in April this year at a cost of Sh2.5million\nbut due to Covid19, all transplants were suspended. \u2018\u2019I plead to the government\nto consider those patients with kidney failure and other chronic diseases so\nthat they can get help.\u2019\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the government of Kenya\nhas given much attention to the covid-19 pandemic and has given a deaf ear to\nsome emergency issues, calling on Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe to lift\nthis
