A section of parents have called on education Cabinet Secretary Ogamba Migosi to move with speed and save St.Mary’s Mumias Girls high school from collapse from mismanagement by the Principal and his cartels.<\/div>\n

Parents decried high handedness and corruption by the principal which has seen a number of parents withdraw their children from the learning institution.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“It\u2019s with deep regret that even in the wake of all the calls hitherto concerning the St.Mary\u2019s Mumias girls from us parents and stakeholders, nothing is happening to salvage whatever little remains of this once admirable school,” said Enock Shimonje, a parent.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
He posed, “To whom should we turn to? Who will stand up and save this jewel of Western Region..The government? It\u2019s obvious the Ministry is in bed with the very principal Mrs Monicah Buchichi who is hell bend to ensure the place is totally ruined before leaving,”.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Reports indicate that the Principal was once chased away from her former stations for the allegations of mismanagement of school resources.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Church? Nothing worse can be said of the very Mother of the institution other than the fact that everything is compromised. Take for example the recent viral clip in which the Diocesan secretary admitted that it\u2019s apathetical for Madam to bring to school some \u201csorcerer\u201d to do whatever he did.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Even though some parents are afraid to come out, the effects of the actions of this very person are evident in the students he worked on. These are like what happened to Eregi Girls school recently.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Another parent who sought for anonymity owing to the sensitivity of the matter said, These are what we still cry that SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. IF NOTHING HAPPENS, THEN , IN THE FULL KNOWLEDGE that we are on our own as Parents and Stakeholders, shall have no otherwise but Do what desperations will drive us into:. REMOVE Madam Buchichi Immediately.<\/div>\n

Meanwhile:<\/div>\n
1. The school Accounts Audit.<\/div>\n
Parents said that all the school accounts should be thoroughly and independently audited. So far what has been done has been a scheme to protect Buchichi with the aim of keeping her around.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“There are persons so determined to gain from her stay around so the funds are swindled at the expense of the girl child. Basic activities at school are crippled while she receives fees from parents and government,” decried a parent.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
An obvious case in question is why and how suppliers have not been paid up to now yet the school receives up to the tune of over Sh130M??.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
To this effect, the accused has resorted to purchasing basic commodities herself with the help of her bursar. An irregularity so obvious yet being overlooked by authorities.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
For instance as at now, cows are being purchased and slaughtered from the field. No public health officer inspects the same!!! Beans are locally bought by the bursar in Uganda!!! She herself does the supply of almost everything!!! Some of the cows bought are even sick!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Cases of extra levies not accounted for nor receipted have been reported not once, not twice. Then what? No Van. No new building. Teachers report of no payment to teachers for the remedial classes they are forced to teach!!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2. Cases of Girl Child Molestation and Canal Knowledge.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Principal has openly adduced to the fact that teachers are having relationships with the girls under her care and watch.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This is very substantially gross issue never to be overlooked in this current dispensation. If it was any other case, the principal could have been terminated.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Who or what is really protecting this Monicah. When asked she defends herself and indicates that she\u2019s being hunted by external forces. Why doesn\u2019t the authority take charge so she takes responsibility of these claims. Are teachers doing this with full expectation of her protection?” He posed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Her burst about teachers sleeping with girls has never been investigated. No conclusive report has never been told to us as parents. As if that\u2019s not enough, she recently in the meeting with our representatives(P.A) alleged that one of her teachers was SHARING NUDE PICTURES with a student. It\u2019s therefore in record that she is abetting these!! What more does T.S.C require to bring this Madam to books?<\/div>\n

3. General Mismanagement of the School.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The order that once greeted you on entering the school is no longer there. The workers are disheartened and demotivated.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Teachers the same. The students are also wondering what befell them. She promises what she never delivers.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She organizes for events just to make one more shilling for herself. We need not overemphasize what has already been said before.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Madam Buchichi lives and survives on LIES. She lies almost about everything!! No wonder our daughters tell us they now call her HOT AIR. When she promised to make their meals better, their meals are worse. The bread they were taking daily has been cut to three days. Students are frustrated with the principal.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“From our information, she has fallen out with almost everyone she has interacted with due to these lies. We are reliably informed that the media personalities who have been protecting her too are now her nemesis since she lied to them and never kept her promises,” he affirmed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She has instructed F4 parents to bring 5 reams of paper. This is a move to enable for printing of the illegal exams especially in 3rd term so that cheating is seamless.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
4. The Christian Values vis a vis Catholic Doctrines.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This school is based on the Christian foundation of Catholic doctrines. What is the position of this very institution on what Madam is doing? For example, what girls is the school churning out if they practice exam malpractice?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This is what this criminal is teaching our girls!!Exams are given to girls two weeks earlier so that they do it later and it\u2019s let to look like work is being done.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
During KCSE the same is done(wondering how she accesses the exams). Most girls who finished last year have feared joining universities since they are aware of what happens and the lie they are likely to live.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Some have opted repeating F4 class instead. Last year, all teachers of St.Marys never went for marking. The bitterness is at another level!!! They are wishing this never reccurs.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Also, the Principal seems to have beliefs in other superpowers. Bringing a sorcerers to school is not just immoral, it is illegal. And by the way, the crimes she claims were curbed have even skyrocketed .<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
These persons are paid handsomely for these activities at the expense of what basic role of the monies we give should.\u00a0 The girls seem to follow that moral path of what their \u2018Mother\u2019 is.. Sad.<\/div>\n
