Former Angurai South MCA Grace Olita Omasete has advised members of the public against disrupting political rallies organized by aspiring candidates they don’t support.<\/p>\n

Addressing mourners at Aedomoru sub location, Aboloi location, Teso North Sub County in Busia County, Omasete called for peaceful campaigns noting that wananchi should allow every aspirant to sell their manifesto to the electorates who will later make their decision on the ballot as voting will be through secret ballot.<\/p>\n

She further warned both politicians and the public against incitement through the social media noting that it is a recipe for chaos which have no room in modern society.<\/p>\n

She cited the 2002 Parliamentary election in the then Amagoro constituency when people from Teso South expressed openly their support for former MP AAA Ekirapa from the North, but later voted Sospeter Ojaamong from the South.<\/p>\n

Amid applause ,she urged the public to vote for her when time comes.<\/p>\n

Through his representative Isaac Ruto Naibei, an aspiring Teso North MP Humphrey Ekirapa pledged to install a 5,000 litre capacity water tank at Aedomoru secondary school in the next one week, in order to address the perennial water crisis in that school.<\/p>\n

He said he would ensure that the school gets uninterrupted clean water supply.<\/p>\n

Aedomoru sub location chief Steve Biko Opuru told the Personal Assistant to the area MCA Joseph Eseme to remind him about the road project linking Kosenyi to Aedomoru where funds had allegedly been allocated.<\/p>\n

Opuru expressed concern over the delay in the commencement of the construction, noting that people are experiencing difficulties in travelling from Kosenyi to Aedomoru.<\/p>\n

The PA Tom Ekirapa had a difficult time convincing mourners that MCA Eseme would honour the pledges he made to the electorate.<\/p>\n

They were speaking during the burial of Snider Ayuma, 28, who died a fortnight ago after a short illness. She leaves behind a widower, Fred Emukule, and two young children, including the youngest aged one month.<\/p>\n
