Students at Bungoma National Polytechnic have finally found their peace after prolonged insecurities and strikes within the institution through a peaceful transition of power in students’ leadership.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This event marked a step to enhance peace and cohesion within the institution to combat the reported strikes and demonstrations that led to death and severe injuries to many students.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the swearing-in at the institutions’ premises, the principal, Dr.Godfrey Murunga, applauded the students for their cooperation and urged them to find their lost peace.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

“The peaceful swearing in of new leaders is one step in promoting peace within the institution. I am so happy for it, and this means a lot to us as an institution.” said Murunga.<\/p>\n

The institution has reported a fewer number of administered students ever as a result of insecurity .<\/p>\n

The dean of students Mr.Haninngton Situma put more emphasies on peace promotion to better their education.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

“We are aiming at higher achievements and improvement of this institution,this will only be successful if we maintain peace and unity within us,we dont want cheos anymore.”he said.<\/p>\n

The insecurity that is mostly experienced in the institution is brought about by a group of goons who call themselves “Airforce 1” this is according to school’s security.
\nMr.Situma sounded a very big warning to the so called goons noting that whoever is participating once found will be delt with accordingly.<\/p>\n

The president elect Dancun Fwamba, a fourth year student majoring in engineering addressed the issues of insecurity, stating that they are prepared to unite and combat anyone who opposes the institution’s development.<\/p>\n

The newly elected leaders were:president Dancan Fwamba,vice president JohnMacrains,secretary general Billy Mung’au,finance Renson Sibubu,education Mara Spenser,health Dorene Marcy.<\/p>\n
