It was witnessed by the immediate family, Teso North OCPD and Malaba OCS.<\/p>\n<p>Family spokesperson and the deceased uncle, Mr Daniel Mogoria told the press that their son Inspector Murunga did not die from a road accident, but it was as a result of a &#8220;blunt object&#8221; on the back of the head that resulted in the cloating of the blood, adding that the skull was not broken and that the body has no bruises.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6122\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG-20250207-WA0022-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG-20250207-WA0022-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG-20250207-WA0022-696x928.jpg 696w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG-20250207-WA0022.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8221; The pathologists were in agreement that the officer might have been killed by more than one person before his body was dumped at the scene where the body was found at Ketebat area along Malaba- Akichelesit- Angurai road,&#8221; Mr Mogoria noted.<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 gubernatorial aspirant had raised concerns over the glaring gaps concerning the quick response and the handling of the body right from the scene to Kocholia Sub County Hospital to the LifeCare Morgue, in Bungoma Town.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; With preliminary investigations clearing the air on what killed Murunga, the senior police officers of Teso police Division, who believed in a motor vehicle accident should step aside and allow other competent police and other independent bodies to carry the investigation to bring the culprits to book.
