In a major step toward improving electricity access, the Bungoma County Government, in partnership with the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), has officially launched the Bumula Energy Center rural electrification project.<\/p>\n

This initiative aims to connect approximately 5,400 households to a reliable power supply.<\/p>\n

The project was inaugurated with a ceremonial pole installation in Lunakwe, presided over by Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Hon. Opiyo Wandayo, who praised the collaboration.<\/p>\n

Governor Kenneth Lusaka also lauded the project, calling it a transformative development for local communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring my first term as governor, I secured four and a half acres of land in Bumula, which has been crucial in establishing this energy center.<\/p>\n

REREC has invested KSh 260 million into the partnership,\u201d Governor Lusaka remarked.<\/p>\n
