Webuye Campus, a constituent of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), is set to reopen its doors next month with a fresh focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.<\/p>\n

The Campus had been closed down for over five years.<\/p>\n

This decision follows a strategic agreement between the university\u2019s management and Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka.<\/p>\n

Under the newly inked deal, Bungoma County has leased the university campus for a period of 99 years.<\/p>\n

During the event, MMUST representative James Sakwa revealed that the university’s board had decided to exclusively offer TVET programs at the Webuye campus.<\/p>\n

The institution, which will operate with a degree of semi-autonomy, will offer a range of unique diploma courses, including specialized training in pedagogy.<\/p>\n

Additionally, it will introduce programs that recognize prior learning, a key innovation aimed at enhancing skills development in the region.<\/p>\n
