He wanted to take us to a five-day\ntrip in Mombasa and use the bonding session to \u2018forgive\u2019 him but we refused\nsince it will have been a waste of public resources,\u201d claimed an MCA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"706\" height=\"960\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MCA also alleged that the governor in a\ndesperate move tried buying out the ward rep who initiated the collection of\nsignatures seeking his removal but he also declined. \u201cWe can\u2019t be bribed with\nSh5000 and drop such an important assignment ahead of us,\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the court papers seen by County Splash,\nOttichilo through Maobe Mukhwana and Company Advocates, listed Vihiga County\nAssembly speaker Hasna Mudeizi (first respondent), County Assembly of Vihiga\n(second respondent) and the assembly\u2019s clerk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ottichilo in his affidavit said that he only learnt of his imminent\nimpeachment through the social media that MCAs are moving a motion on March 3\nfor his removal and that he is not a party to the said motion and that he has\nneither been served nor informed of any charges against him as are in the\nmaterials circulating on social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"622\" height=\"881\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG-20200303-WA0045.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-398\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Already the ward reps had presented the impeachment motion before the floor\nof the house but Ottichilo secured an injunction and stopped the planned\nimpeachment until his case is heard and determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He termed the acts by the respondents as malicious, ill thought out and in\ncontravention and total disregard of the petitioner\u2019s rights constitutional\nrights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">Assembly Speaker, Ms Mudeizi has acknowledged to be in receipt of the orders stopping Ottichilo\u2019s impeachment. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" pending bills with contractors and suppliers\ntotaling to Sh1.8billion, delayed salaries, highhandedness and mismanagement of\nthe county affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
