St Peters Boys Primary School and Christ the King Academy \u2013 Bungoma\nproduced the best candidate in KCPE with 431 marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewis Glen Otieno Omondi of St Peters Boys Primary and Fwaro\nMakokha Robinson scored 431 marks each out of the possible 500 marks to emerge\ntop candidates nationally. The results were released by Education Cabinet\nSecretary Ezekiel Machogu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLewis was a hardworking pupil. He was always position in all the exams we used to do despite the competition we have at the school. He was always the best especially in Maths, his favourite subject,\u201d said Anne Onyancha, St Peters Boys Primary Headteacher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added: \u201cWe normally test them regularly so that they can\nget used to exams. We are expecting to get a mean score of 380 and above. This\nyear we presented 340 candidates for KCPE exams and as a school we are happy\nwith the results,\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 9,443 candidates scored 400 marks and above while 307,756 scored between 300 and 399 marks. Atmost 619,593 candidates scored between 200 and 299 marks while 296,336 candidates got between 100 and 199 marks. A total of 724 candidates scored between 1 and 99 marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa applauded the teachers\nfor working tirelessly to ensure the school post exemplary results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to congratulate you (Lewis Otieno) for being the top\nstudent in Kenya. Kakamega County will sponsor his secondary education from\nform one to form four at Alliance High School,\u201d said Barasa <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barasa said he will also help the school improve on its\ninfrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood relationship between the parents, teachers and the\nBoard of Management has done an exemplary work and now we are trending in the\nentire country. My elder son was a student here and am proud to associate\nmyself with the school since I was a parent here five years ago,\u201d said Barasa <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He gifted the teachers with Sh50,000 and the locals Sh50,000 in celebrating the good results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Fesbeth Academy is the best school in Western for\nthe fifth consecutive time in the just released 2022 Kenya Certificate of\nPrimary Education (KCPE) examinations by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel\nMachogu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premier academy located in Kakamega town had all there\n111 candidates who sat for the KCPE exams scoring 400 marks and above. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Fesbeth Academy Director, Ruth Minish, the candidates\nposted a mean score of 389.18, saying that their best candidate, Shelmith Isigi\nscored 424 marks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe had 111 candidates who were sitting for the KCPE exams and\nall of them have scored 400 marks and all of them will join leading national\nschools in the country. Our hard work and determination has paid off,\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Minish said that in everything they do, Fesbeth Academy\nfamily always put God first, adding that it\u2019s the main reason they have been\nable to beat academic giants in the region over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said thanked her teachers for her proud going by the\nresults that were released today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
