If not, here is a brief recap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Namkhula&#8217;s tale dates\nway back to 2019 when she gave birth to quintuplets making her a mother to 9\nchildren. Her art attracted several allies including politicians who came in\nhandy to help her in raising her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One week later, she\ndeveloped health problems; she was transferred from Kakamega general hospital\nto Moi teaching and referral hospital in Eldoret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"727\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n.png\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"3049\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n.png\" data-link=\"https:\/\/countysplash.co.ke\/2022\/10\/24\/the-story-of-everline-namukhula\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n\/\" class=\"wp-image-3049\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n.png 727w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n-300x198.png 300w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/56393227_1265493753627525_5745451788505448448_n-696x460.png 696w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px\" \/><figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-item__caption\">The late Evaline Namukhula in hospital<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She died 3 weeks later\nof what doctors termed as lack of enough blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3 years later, we take\na look at the progress of his remaining family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s 9 a.m. when County Splash crew arrives at Mwikhunda village, Navakholo constituency, home to the late Everline Namkhula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Judith Indimuli, sister to Namkhula welcomes us, she leads us inside a semi-permanent house whose walls are full of cracks, &#8220;Welcome in&#8221;, She says. We introduce ourselves and 3, 20litres jerry cans are handed to us to be used as seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of Namkhula&#8217;s 9\nchildren, Judith lives with 5 of them, a task she says is burdening her\nconsidering that she&#8217;s already a mother to four children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><code>\"Namkhula gave birth to 5 children, two died, one died one week after he was born while the other one died three weeks after her mother's death\", said Indimuli.<\/code><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We sort of know how\nlife has been given that the county government of Kakamega had promised to help\nNamkhula raise his children including paying their school fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;After Namkhula&#8217;s\ndeath, Namkhula&#8217;s husband secured a job with the county government of Kakamega\nas a casual laborer, he used to cut grass around Kakamega town while his family\nwas entitled to a monthly stepped of a thousand shillings and some pampers a\nmove aimed to help cuter the cost of raising the infants&#8221;, She added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, 9 months\nlater, the county government withdrew its support from the family alleging that\nthey only had an agreement of a 9 month contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The burden was\nheavy, I was forced to take some of the children to my mother to help me raise\nthem&#8221;, added Indimuli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Indimuli fails to\nunderstand why she was betrayed even with the most prominent people including\nthe former county&#8217;s governor and senator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><code><strong>\"Have tried reaching them several times but no one has come to my aid, some have been forced to stay home for over a term for I lack money to pay for their school fees while sometimes we are forced to go hungry for lack of money\" she said.<\/strong><\/code><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, Judith\nworks as a casual laborer by fetching water for his neighbors to get money for\nboth his family and his sister&#8217;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My call is for\ngood Samaritans and well-wishers to intervene and help me make Namkhula&#8217;s\nchildren achieve their dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">End <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seliphar Musungu, Kakamega Ever heard of Everline Namukhula, the 38-year-old woman from Kakamega County who gave birth to quintuplets?
