I could carry her in my back to take her to school <\/code><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;She was born in good health, her problems started when\nshe was seven years old. Each time she woke up, she complained of feeling pain\nin his legs, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Their efforts to\nunravel the mystery by taking her to various health facilities such as Malava\nand Dreamland hospitals in Kakamega and Bungoma County respectively were in\nvain as the tests from the said hospitals revealed that she had no\ncomplications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Suddenly she couldn&#8217;t walk, his legs were weak to\nsupport him, and she crawled to move. I could carry her in my back to take her\nto school&#8221; added Makhonjio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG-20220920-WA0137.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2930\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG-20220920-WA0137.jpg 624w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG-20220920-WA0137-244x300.jpg 244w, https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG-20220920-WA0137-324x400.jpg 324w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><figcaption><code><strong>Ronika and her mother \/ PHOTO Dennis Avokoywa <\/strong><\/code><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two years later things changed from bad to worse, while in\nthe grade 3, Ronika complained of similar pains in her arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;The family was forced\nto sell some of their possessions at home such as livestock and farm to cater\nfor her medical expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-left is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&nbsp;<code><strong>\"Her hands too became paralyzed, she was forced to drop out of school since most of my concentration to her made her siblings suffer, they could go for days without a meal,\" she said. <\/strong><\/code><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, the family is asking for the intervention of\nwell-wishers and health specialists that will help them determine the source of\nthe paralysis along with other aids such as a wheelchair that will help their\ndaughter able to move and chase after her dreams of becoming a doctor in\nfuture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My husband depended on cheap labor of weeding and\ncutting sugar cane to raise money to run the family errands.
