The Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya (DAP-K) has disowned\nKakamega Deputy Governor Elect Ayub Savula over his assertions that he is a co-\ngovernor with Fernandes Barasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a coalition partner, we shall support Fernandes Barasa to deliver to Kakamega County people on his promises pegged on \u2018Maendeleo na Usawa\u2019 devoid of sideshows and blackmails. We have an agreement to deliver devolution fruits to the people after the swearing in on Thursday,\u201d read a Tweet by DAP-K <\/code><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Savula claimed that Kakamega County government will be\ndivided into a 50\/50 share between him and the Governor Elect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo not be fooled by anyone that I am a deputy governor, no.\nThe county has been divided into two and Barasa will take half of the\ngovernment and the other half will be managed by me,\u201d said Savula <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Lugari MP further said that they will share 50\/50\nministries for the positions of County Executive Committee members (CECMs) and\nChief Officers as well as heads of departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But DAP-K party where Savula is the deputy party leader has\ndistanced itself from his claims and maintained that they only recognize\nFernandes Barasa as Kakamega governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
