A man was beaten senseless by his\nin-laws for preparing and serving them cat\u2019s meat for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The shocking incident occurred at\nEkwanda village in Luanda constituency over the weekend where the economy has\nliterally gone to the cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was in the course of this reconciliation talk where assumptuos meal is served that the in-laws (two women and four men) learnt they had been served a cat's meat. <\/code><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The in-laws had gone to visit Job\nMukhongo and help reconcile him with his estranged wife Andeso who had left a\nmonth ago after a domestic quarrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
It was in the course of this reconciliation\ntalk where assumptuos meal is served that the in-laws (two women and four\nmen) learnt they had been served a cat’s meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mukhongo\u2019s child appeared while they\nwere feasting on the ‘delicacy’ brandishing two heads of slaughtered cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDaddy said he was preparing the special meal for my uncles and unties,\" the little boy told the visitors. <\/strong><\/code><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
He then said how his father had\nslaughtered the cats and prepared the meal they were eating for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDaddy said he was preparing the\nspecial meal for my uncles and unties,” the little boy told the\nvisitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The in-laws, who found the meal delicious,\nwere at loss on what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLunch was served much earlier than\nexpected. It was well-cooked meat accompanied with Sukuma wiki and\nUgali. The wafting aroma was enough to whet your appetite and given that\nwe had walked a long distance, the meal came just in handy,\u201d said one of\nvisitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe heard him screaming \u2018Nisaidieni majirani, hawa watu wataniuwa\u2019 (Come help me, my in-laws will kill me). When we came we gathered that the in-laws were just but instilling sanity in him for feeding them cat meat,\u201d he said. <\/code><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
John Otieno, an eyewitness told the\nCounty Splash that the in-laws later called their host inquiring on why he had\nserved them the abominable meal before clobbering him when he failed to give a\nsatisfactory answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe heard him screaming \u2018Nisaidieni\nmajirani, hawa watu wataniuwa\u2019 (Come help me, my in-laws will kill me). When we\ncame we gathered that the in-laws were just but instilling sanity in him for\nfeeding them cat meat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Mukhongo\u2019s first born son pleaded\nwith the visitors to pardon his father saying he had no money to buy cow meat\nand opted to take the short cut since it would be shameful for the visitors to\nwalk away on empty stomachs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He claimed that Andeso took away his ATM card and Sh5, 000 he had saved when she ran to her parents a matter that rendered him poor. <\/code><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
According to Otieno, the in-laws\ncooled down after Mukhongo confessed of killing his only cats since he did not\nhave money to buy and serve a delicious meal to his in-laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He claimed that Andeso took away his\nATM card and Sh5, 000 he had saved when she ran to her parents a matter that\nrendered him poor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monica Nyaleso, one of the in-laws\nsaid they have unanimously agreed that the man will never see his wife until he\npays for his rude act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of Mukhongo\u2019s ‘s neighbours however believe that he wanted to punish the in-laws because his wife had the habit of running to her people every often with no good reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
