<\/figure>\n\n\n\nHe schooled at Manyulia Primary\nschool and Embakasi secondary for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE)\nand Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Having been raised in hardship from\nher humble background, education seemingly being a hurdle in his quest to\nquench his thirst for education, Oyolo resorted to travel to Nairobi and hustle\nfrom there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the hustle and bustle in the\ncity, as they say he was born to lead. The 42 year old tried his ambition in\npolitics from the capital city but failed. He believed that nothing is\nimpossible for a man with a vision only impossible when not tried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The son of a peasant farmer, without\nany title or name for recognition by the people but only the vision to change\nand lead was his only title. His dreams and ability to lead was evident when he\nwas elected as Chairperson of Viwandani ward under the\nLiberal Democratic Party (LDP). Raila Odinga was the party leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While under the helm of Viwandani\nward, Oyolo\u2019s good leadership was evident and undisputed putting him on political\nscene as a young leader with the ability to lead and transform the life of\npeople.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is with this success that saw him being\nagain elected as the vice chairman of \nMakadara constituency under Orange Democratic Movement \n(ODM) party. This was after the formation of the orange party in 2005. <\/p>\n\n\n\n After getting a wide experience and\nleadership skills in politics at the heat of politics in Nairobi, Oyolo decided\nto transfer his leadership skills back to his home county of Kakamega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His success and ability to lead and\nbring change saw him being elected as an organizing secretary of ODM party in Lurambi constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He continued to prove to people that\nhe has all what it takes to be a great leader the people of Lurambi trusted him\nfor the work he had done and elected him as the chairperson of ODM party\nLurambi constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To him his style of politics, vast\nexperience and vision centered on the interests of people can only be compared\nto that of his mentor Mr. Raila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAm still a true member of ODM\nbecause before joining in any political party I have to critically analyze its\nagenda and manifesto. ODM is the party that stands for the interest and benefit\nof people that is why am still its active member,\u201d said Oyolo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Additionally he applauds Governor\nWycliffe Oparanya for what his development record of accomplishment in the\ncounty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cKakamega needs a serious leader and a manager\nwho is not a joker; we need a person who can put this county to next higher\nlevel. Oparanya has set the bar high and the next governor coming must up his\ngame,\u201d said Oyolo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Building Bridges Initiative (BBI)\npolitics, Oyolo welcomes the initiative that he says it has many good things\nfor the people of Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur people and county of Kakamega stands out\nto benefit a lot from BBI, we are going to get more constituency if the BBI\nsails through and that means more resources are going to trickle down for\ndevelopment and betterment of our peoples life and therefore we should endorse\nit,\u201d said Oyolo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ends<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Selipher Musungu Kakamega As the popular adage, goes, \u201cGreat leaders are born, not made.\u201d To some extent, the capacity for great leadership is innate.
