US President Donald Trump is claiming that Joe Biden is\ntrying to steal the presidential elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Trump who addressed\nthe media a while ago from White House said that he votes from swing states\nwhere they (Republicans) had won had been doctored in the favour of Former US\nVice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was\ncalled off,\u201d said President Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier he tweeted: \u201c”We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!” <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Trump’s twitter rants came moments after his closet challenger; Mr. Biden\naddressed his supporters in his hometown of Delaware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Keep the faith, we’re going to win this.We feel good about where we\nare. We have to be patient; we have to wait until every vote is counted… till\nevery ballot is counted. But we feel good,” .,” said Biden<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently Biden is head of Trump with 225 Electoral College\nvotes against Trump\u2019s 213. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Electoral College Works <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner of the election is determined through a system\ncalled the electoral college. Each of the 50 states, plus Washington DC, is\ngiven a number of electoral college votes, adding up to a total of 538 votes.\nMore populous states get more electoral college votes than smaller ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A candidate needs to win 270 electoral college votes (50% plus one) to win\nthe election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In every state except two \u2013 Maine and Nebraska \u2013 the candidate that gets the\nmost votes wins all of the state\u2019s electoral college votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to these rules, a candidate can win the election without getting the\nmost votes at the national level. This happened at the last election, in which\nDonald Trump won a majority of Electoral College votes although more people\nvoted for Hillary Clinton across the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
