Bungoma County residents have been assured of renewed efforts to revive stalled development projects aimed at improving livelihoods and reducing hunger.<\/div>\n

Speaking in Mayanja Kibuke in Bumula, Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa promised to revive key projects once given the opportunity to serve as their governor in 2027.<\/div>\n

Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa addresses residents of Bumula at Mayanja Kibuke<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
With a strong focus on agriculture, especially maize farming, to address food shortages in the region.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Barasa specifically pledged to revive the milk processing factory in Webuye that was initiated by a former President Moi but has remained non-functional for years.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He noted that restoring the factory will greatly benefit local farmers and boost the dairy sector.<\/div>\n

He added that the project will also support school feeding programs and improve maternal nutrition. Barasa promised to reintroduce milk distribution initiatives for primary school learners and nursing mothers.<\/div>\n
