{"id":11947,"date":"2026-03-19T15:03:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T12:03:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/?p=11947"},"modified":"2026-03-19T15:03:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T12:03:04","slug":"chesamisi-boys-dismisses-negligence-says-student-died-of-heart-disease","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/?p=11947","title":{"rendered":"Chesamisi Boys Dismisses Negligence, Says Student Died Of Heart Disease\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Board of Management, staff, students, and the entire Chesamisi Boys<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Senior School in Kimilili\/Bungoma Sub-County has come out clearly and ruled out negligence in the death of their student.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Principal Chesamisi boys senior School Mr. Protus Wandela Ndombi clarified the circumstances surrounding the sudden and untimely death of our student, Eugene Oundo Wekesa a form four student.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said that an unfortunate incident has caused deep sorrow to the school<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">community and the public at large.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Following the tragic occurrence, the school, together with the family of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">deceased and the relevant authorities, agreed to allow the due process of\u00a0medical examination and official investigation to be concluded before issuing any public statement. This was necessary to ensure that the information\u00a0shared with stakeholders would be accurate, respectful to the bereaved<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">family, and consistent with the findings of the competent authorities,&#8221; he said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11945\" src=\"https:\/\/horizonnews.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/images-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"182\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ndombi added, &#8220;We wish to inform all stakeholders that the postmortem examination has since been conducted, and the medical report established that the student passed<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">away as a result of an underlying medical condition,&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The report confirmed that the deceased had an enlarged heart, a condition that led to the sudden death.
