International footballer Victor Wanyama paid a courtesy visit to the Principal Administrative Secretary in the Executive Office of the President Arthur Osiya as part of his continued commitment to giving back to the community.<\/p>\n

Mr. Wanyama is currently undertaking the construction of a football talent development centre in Nambale Sub-County, featuring four modern football pitches, which is now 80 per cent complete.<\/p>\n

The centre is designed to nurture young football talent and create structured pathways for local players to access opportunities at the global level.<\/p>\n

In further support of grassroots sports development, the PAS also facilitated pitch improvement works at Elwanikha Primary School grounds, aimed at enhancing access to safe and quality sporting facilities for learners and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n

During the visit, Victor Wanyama expressed his strong desire to identify, nurture, and develop football talent from Busia County, with opportunities extending internationally\u2014particularly in the United Kingdom and Scotland.<\/p>\n

His initiative reflects a deep commitment to returning to the community and investing in the future of our youth through sports.

Professional Clubs
\nBeerschot (Belgium) \u2013 Wanyama\u2019s first senior club after moving to Europe.
\nCeltic FC (Scotland) \u2013 Where he made a big breakthrough and scored in the UEFA Champions League.<\/p>\n

Southampton FC (England) \u2013 Became the first Kenyan to play in the English Premier League.
\nTottenham Hotspur FC (England) \u2013 Played in the Premier League and was part of the squad that reached the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.
\nCF Montr\u00e9al (Canada, Major League Soccer) \u2013 Joined in 2020 and spent several seasons in MLS.<\/p>\n

\nDunfermline Athletic FC, a club in the Scottish championship( the second tire of Scottish football. He signed a short-term deal in March 2025.<\/p>\n
